Want to speak with over 50 college representatives, participate in workshops and seminars taught by celebrities, and see the famous Step competition hosted by BET? Then you should attend The Black College Expo field trip in February! This trip is open to ALL 9th - 12th grade students, but there are only 50 spots. Students in 11th & 12th grade can bring copies of their transcripts and SAT/ACT scores to get acceptance and scholarships on the spot! Permission slips are available across from Mrs. McCloud-Glover's room. Payments are due no later than December 19th and can be dropped off @ Mr. French's office.
-If you are interested in joining the Cosplay Club, please see Ms. Berry in room B111 for an application. Cosplay Club meets every Tuesday from 4:15 until 4:45. You must submit an application to attend. -Attention all students! Student leadership is selling Northwest Athletics tshirts as a fundraiser. Shirts are $15 and must be purchased in cash. See Ms. Strahan in room D-316 to pay for a shirt before december 21st. To preview the shirt design, look at the bulletin boards outside of the cafeteria and in the 1st and 3rd floors of the D Building. -The book fair is here! Shop through this Friday in the Media Center from 8:45 to 4:30. Wednesday night, join us for Family Night until 7pm and be entered into a raffle for free books and other goodies from the book fair. The Beatties Ford Branch of the library will be here as well with the Sayellite Studio! Come check out the recording booth, stop motion animaroom creation, photo booth and more! Parents and family members can also join us Thursday morning in the Media Center from 8am to 10am for bagels and shopping! Happy Reading! -The Right Moves for Youth groups here at the Northwest are collecting crossword, word search, hidden object and number search puzzles, books and educational toys. If you would like to donate those items, please drop off your donated items in Student Services from now until December 14th. If you have any questions, see Officer Mobley or Mrs. Washington. - It's that time of year! The annual shoe box drive is here! The shoe box drive is for Charlotte's Women/ Children and Men's Shelters and we need your help! We need individual personal or hygiene products, new toys or filled shoe boxes with those products. Contact Mr. williams for more information, please return all boxes to C-227 and C-205 through december 16th. -Our school wide canned food drive continues until december 20th. The collection bin will be located in the front office.
